HDP Diyarbakır MP Sibel Yiğitalp has submitted a parliamentary question to the Ministry of Health Recep Akdağ with regards to the claims about contagious diseases spreading among Syrian refugees at refugee camps and those catching a disease being expelled without any treatment.

Reminding that there have been claims about Syrian refugees – especially, women and children – in AFAD Tekel Camp in Altınözü district of Hatay catching serious contagious diseases, such as tuberculosis, HDP MP Yiğitalp has officially brought up the issue through a parliamentary question.

‘Who is running the preventive health services?’

Asking whether there have been any investigation or examination to address the claimed situation, Yiğitalp has also posed the following questions:

‘Are the claims about contagious diseases being spread among the Syrian refugees staying at AFAK Tekel Camp in Hatay’s Altınözü district true?’
