The chief editor of pro-AKP newspaper Diriliş Postası, Erem Şentürk, has threatened those who emphasize ‘secularism.’

Erem Şentürk, the Editor-in-Chief for pro-government Diriliş Postası, has referred to those who have been further emphasizing ‘secularism’ after the July 15 coup attempt and written on his twitter account: “An open warning to those who have been insisting on secularism after July 15: those days are gone! You would pay the price heavily! Be a secular at your house!”

According to the reports of ODA TV, Şentürk has recently targeted secularists in his messages with a rather intimidating and threatening tone. His messages read:

“Secularists impose compromise in the name of conciliation and they execute all who are not like them. They are the minority everywhere and they are dictators!”

“Secularism is itself a bigot cult. If you are looking for merit and freedom, first thing should be to get rid of this zealot tribe called secularism.”

“What a nonsense to say ‘if there is no secularism, there cannot be merit.’ Actually, if there is secularism, there is no merit. Secularism is a system of enmity towards Muslims.”

“What you call secularism is a hedonist barbarity that is dependent on imperialism unconditionally; that closes down all areas of Muslims, and even executes and shoots them.”

“Secularism is a bloody-handed religion of the Middle Ages. The defenders of this religion leave space for only those that are like them and they do not hesitate to carry out massacres.
